1. Titolare del trattamento
Andrea Santacroce
Am Klosterwald 1, 87600 Kaufbeuren, Germania
E-mail: andreasantacroce96@gmail.com
2. In breve
6, par. 1, lett. f GDPR).
9, par. 2, lett. a GDPR).
5. Meteo (Open-Meteo)
6, par. 1, lett. a GDPR); senza dettatura puoi sempre scrivere.
7. I tuoi diritti
Hai diritto di accesso (art. 15), rettifica (art. 16), cancellazione (art. 17), limitazione del trattamento (art. 18), portabilità (art. 20) e opposizione (art. 21 GDPR).
Privacy policy
for this website and the web preview of the app · Last updated: October 2026 · The German version is binding.
1. Controller
Andrea Santacroce
Am Klosterwald 1, 87600 Kaufbeuren, Germany
Email: andreasantacroce96@gmail.com
2. In short
- No cookies, no analytics or tracking services, no ads.
- Fonts and images are loaded from this website itself, not from Google or other third parties.
- What you enter in the app stays encrypted in your browser on your device and is not sent to me.
3. Hosting (Netlify)
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (San Francisco, USA). On each visit Netlify processes technically necessary data in server log files: IP address, date and time, requested address, referrer, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Netlify acts as a processor; transfers to the USA are based on the EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
4. Storage in your browser
The website remembers your language in your browser's local storage. The app stores your entries there, encrypted with XChaCha20-Poly1305. Only if you turn on the “Body” area with its own consent, this includes weight and body measurements, i.e. health data (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). This data never leaves your device. The storage is strictly necessary for the function you request (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it at any time in the app (“Delete all data”) or in your browser settings.
5. Weather (Open-Meteo)
Only if you enter a place for the weather in the app, your browser queries the Open-Meteo service (based in Switzerland): first the place name for the search, then the coordinates of the chosen place for the forecast. Open-Meteo sees your IP address in the process. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (providing the function you asked for); Switzerland is covered by an EU adequacy decision. Your device's location (GPS) is never used.
5a. Food diary (Open Food Facts) and camera
When you search online or scan a barcode in the app's food diary, your browser queries the open database Open Food Facts (France) – only with the search term or the barcode number; Open Food Facts sees your IP address in the process. What you eat is not transmitted (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The product data is available under the Open Database License (ODbL). The camera is used only while the scanner is open; the images are analysed solely on your device and never saved. The program that reads the barcodes is loaded from this website itself.
5b. Voice input (dictation)
When you tap the microphone in the web app, the app uses your browser’s speech recognition. Depending on the browser, what you say is sent to the browser maker’s service (for example Google for Chrome, Apple for Safari) and turned into text there; that maker is responsible for it. The app itself sends nothing to us. The microphone is only on while you dictate. The legal basis is your consent, given by tapping the microphone (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); you can always type instead.
5c. Exchange rates (Frankfurter)
Only if you switch on exchange rates in the app’s money area does your browser request the European Central Bank’s reference rates from the Frankfurter service. The service sees your IP address but no content from the app – not your spending either, which stays on your device only. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The rates are for information only and are not investment advice.
6. Contact
If you email me, I process your details only to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
8. App from the stores
For the future app on the App Store and Google Play, the privacy policy inside the app applies (Profile → Privacy centre).
